2. Grassley *seems* fairly spritely and in command of his speech at age 91, he has already filed for reelection in 2028, would be 95 then and 101 at the end of his term. I appreciate Grassley (apart from the corn subsidies), but I don’t care what side of the aisle you are on, you just have to let go! Groom your successor, maybe someone you want to replace you actually will!

3. They can’t let go of the power; the exercise of power is their reason for existing. Well, that and a good table at any of the finer eateries frequented by the “in-crowd”.
