Appeals Court Overturns Douglass Mackey’s 2016 Conviction For Spreading Election Falsehoods

Newsmax:
A federal appeals court on Wednesday overturned a conservative influencer’s conviction for spreading falsehoods on social media in an effort to suppress Democrat turnout in the 2016 presidential election.

The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan ordered a lower court to enter a judgment of acquittal for Douglass Mackey, finding that trial evidence failed to prove the government’s claim that the Florida man conspired with others to influence the election.

Mackey, 36, was convicted in March 2023 in federal court in Brooklyn on a charge of conspiracy against rights after posting false memes that said supporters of Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton could vote for her by text message or social media post. more

  1. Well, it appears US Taxpayers will foot the cost of the lawsuit, and the perpetrators (DOJ Attorneys will never face any accountability.

The DOJ attorneys are likely at a Democrat law firm, or a DNC Think Tank making the BIG Bucks for carrying the DNC water.
That’s the vicious cycle in DC, Taxpayers are punished, attorneys are rewarded.

  2. Clearly one of the most atrocious and bullshit abuses of justice in the 21st century. This was the case that convinced me beyond all doubt that democrats were literal demons, servants of Satan all.
