To funny. My wife’s a Lucy freak. Before we got married she’d be at my apartment waiting for me to get home watching TV. Was she watching MTV? Nope. She was watching reruns of I Love Lucy and laughing her butt off. Not much has changed.

From yesterday’s commentariat at sweasel.com:
Two weasels are sitting on a bar stool.
One starts to insult the other one. He screams, “I slept with your mother!”
The bar gets quiet as everyone listens to see what the other weasel will do.
The first again yells, “I SLEPT WITH YOUR MOTHER!”
The other weasel says, “Go home dad, you’re drunk.”

That’s got to be the saddest joke I’ve ever heard. Strangely, I laughed my ass off. What’s wrong with you Al. LOL.

I always liked Fred and Ethel more than Lucy and Ricky. Maybe I’m weird.

I’m not sorry, I never liked I Love Lucy, too silly. Now Gillian’s Island…that’s entertainment!

Lucy defined the sitcom genre. It’s hard to be funny after everyone else copies your formula.

Lucille Ball was the world’s finest physical comedy actress (as Tim Conway was for the men). I could appreciate her excellence even though I never found physical comedy very appealing. For example, the 3 Stooges were terrific at it but I didn’t enjoy watching them.
