It turns out, pushing unrealistic green energy schemes onto low- and middle-income people at the expense of a safer fuel source was not only bad science, it was dangerous propaganda.

track down the liars and put them on pikes
Ironically, the pushing for legislation to ban gas stoves involved a shit load of gaslighting.
geoff – Oh yeah, that was a 70s thing that was required viewing at the time!
I want to say so much about these kinds of legislative debacles, but where does one even begin?!
The end point is that Americans — usually those who cannot afford, or must make a significant sacrifice — are always hardest hit by the deceptive “causes” of gov’t. Yet, when the truth of the matter comes to light, none of us are made whole in the matter. Our labor and time spent at it to satisfy the arbitrary and capricious deceptions have been wasted.
I read a headline yesterday that there is currently no effort being made, for example, to recover the billions which were fraudulently claimed under covid “relief” by a number of people whose claims were suspected at the start.
I’m also reminded of oblowme’s “Cash For Clunkers” program which cost us $3 billions, but benefited car dealerships more than anyone else, and did not deliver — long term — the promised reductions in fuel efficiency.
Too much to say.
