The Teamsters labor union continues to throw money behind Republicans as the union president has said that the Democrats have forgotten the working class. The Teamsters Union has donated primarily to Democrats for nearly two decades before shifting support to the GOP in the 2024 election cycle.
According to financial data, the Teamsters’ political PAC, known as the International Brotherhood of Teamsters’ Democrat, Republican, Independent Voter Education (DRIVE), has distributed approximately $70,000 to Republicans this year. The donations follow union president Sean O’Brien’s speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC) last year, where he spoke about how the union was not beholden to any political party. more
The truth of the matter is the Teamsters supported the Halfrican shipping our jobs over seas. How logical is that? Are they that stupid? Well I guess we need to give then credit for touching that hot stove and at least learning. Stupid Fing people.
Unions are fair-weather friends, meaning that they will expect some quid pro quo, which is usually detrimental to taxpayers.

Try the last 50 years. I joined my union back in the mid 80’s (still a member), they were supporting Democrats back then and continue for the simple reason that once elected there is an expectation that whatever collective bargaining is done, the end result will be favorable to the unions (salaries, benefits, medical insurance, vacation days, etc.) with the taxpayers getting screwed.
They are like mercenaries; their allegiance goes to the highest bidder.
Working class? Dems deserted the civilized class.

Good points. They touched the hot stove but all they learned was not to touch the hot stove again. They ARE that stupid. I don’t believe they’ve learned why touching the stove hurts.
It’s like they’re the other end of the economic animal spectrum from entrepreneurs. An entrepreneur understands time preference and how to use it to satisfy customers today at the same time they build business for the future.
The dems are the ultimate time preference NOW! animals. Worse than Las Vegas gamblers. As long as they get whatever it is they want TODAY, then screw tomorrow.

Once again we are in total agreement. They’ll do it again if some one tells them too. Sometimes I’m glad I’m old because this is getting boring. I left out a bunch of F words.
Worked in the early 70’s for a semi-independent, small, but rapidly growing company.
This company was soooo good to it’s employees it was amazing. They truly treated us like we were more important than the customers, and the result was that the customers were equally well treated because we had such pride and loyalty in the product and the company.
With rapid growth came people who were used to working for unions and they attempted to unionize the workforce. They were practically laughed off the job. I can still remember someone telling them they would only make our employer do the minimum for us workers instead of being so generous to us.
No union made it into that company.
$70,000 is chicken feed to the Teamsters.
How much did they give to the Demonrats?
And what would the Teamsters know about work or the working “class” – you couldn’t get a Teamster to do any work with a flame thrower pointed at him.
ALL unions are corrupt mob fronts who use the suffering of the masses to line their pockets – the union bosses are robbing the members blind and every member knows it – but, similarly to “liberals,” they’re addicted to the lies, deceits, and corruptions (as long as they get their crumbs).

Unions are just more bosses for the workers to work for. Correctly run the union finishes off the exploitation of labor in conjunction with the employer.
