Ah!!!, now it all makes sense.

I read an article this morning about Disney and their mea culpa about ruining the brand (Star Wars, and Marvel) by bringing in feminists who promoted content (both in superheroes and storyline) aimed at a certain demographic (not male).

Revenue is the only thing these dopes understand, deny it from them.

  2. She is one of those vapid women who inserts “like” in every sentence even when it isn’t, “like, appropriate.” Ugh. She is out to destroy Cracker Barrel.

  4. We got a gift card to CB a few years ago. I ordered the chicken fried steak. The mashed potatoes were considered one of the two sides you could order with it and they put a tablespoon of gravy on it. And it was really expensive. I was used to have it swimming in white gravy with biscuits. We never went back and never intend to.

  5. “One of the things about Steak ‘n’ Shakes is they’re all exactly alike. They aren’t franchises. They’re controlled from Bloomington, and one of the reassuring things about them is that the mottos, trademarks and white-black-and-red motifs never change. The cover of the menu still says, “Thanks for your liberal patronage since 1934 – A. H. (Gus) Belt, Founder.” The motto is still “In Sight ¬It Must Be Right.” The other motto is still “It’s a Meal!” The mottos are still true.“—Roger Ebert, 2012

  6. Love Steak N Shake since I was a kid. It was always a special occasion to go there where I grew up in the Midwest. Sitting in the car waiting for your order was fun. It was “drive in” and a server would come to the car window and take the order way back in the 60s. Their shakes, skinny fries and what they now call, ” Smashed” burgers are delicious. Glad their common sense corporate model has not been destroyed by woke Feminist hive-minded communism.

  7. How the hell does a dingbat like this get hired as CEO. Is this all due to BlackRock?

And she previously was CEO of Mattel. (See gender creative dolls, as well as diversity disability and fat Barbies.)

Ugh, indeed. Such people are not only vapid but also have cripplingly slow mental processes. You have to be pretty stupid for your speech to be faster than your brain’s ability to tell your mouth what word comes next.

I used to think the same of people who start sentences with “So,” but then I realized I was doing it myself (it’s a contagious disease!) and concluded it was OK after all. 🙄

  9. The CEO and I would daresay at least one of their board members champion the woke crap
Gilbert Davila was the former VP of Global Diversity and Multicultural Market Development for Disney.
He is also co founder of AIMM, a DEI group that facilitates all the ridiculous ideas that woke business takes on.
Dude helped destroy Disney, now he sits on the board of Cracker Barrel, to help its demise.
