  1. That reminded me of when they opened one in CO a few years ago. In Aurora, the bluest part of a blue state. I don’t know what they are thinking.
On the day that one opened, you could have gotten served faster by taking a flight to LAX, walking the half-mile to the In-N-Out there and getting your burger and fries, then flying back to Denver.

  2. We’re about to have chicken wars in N. Spokane on the Newport Hwy. in 2 weeks on Sept.9th with a new Raising Cane’s right across the street from the Chik-Fil-A having a grand opening. We’ll see, I’ve been to the Chik-Fil-A maybe 4-or 5-times since it opened 3 or 4 yrs. ago. It’s OK but a little pricey. So, we’ll wait and see about the new Raising Cane’s. I’m trying to lose some weight so after the first of this year 2025 I’ve limited how many times that I eat fast food. My daughter in Padukah, Ky. was telling me the other day her family was treated to Culver’s butter burgers by her in-laws and she was not impressed by all the older lard ass fat people eating there. I don’t think they’ll go back. She said all the fat people reminded her of eating at Golden Corral the home of the lard ass special.

  3. geoff – I’ve eaten at In & Out when in CA and yes it is very good, but we don’t have them here. Here in OH we have Culvers and I have to say they are very good too… but not if you want to lose weight.
I have a Butter Burger about once every two months or so depending on if I am in the area where my daughter lives. Love it! Good food, good service.

Instead of suit or tallow I have a five lb of country bacon ground into 20 lbs of deer or elk. That makes for a damn good burger.

Columbus OH has every fast food known to man. It used to be a test market city for all things heart clogging-might still be-I’m not sure. My parents love Cane’s. OMG. It is NOT for me. All I tasted was salt and more salt. I find it totally inedible.

I like Culver’s well enough because they have frozen custard. The PNW is sadly lacking in mom and pop frozen custard stands like they have in Ohio everywhere. So, I indulge while I’m there.

Yes, there are lotsa heavy set folks in OH. It’s…sumthin’ fer sure.

  6. Five Guys? The only one I’ve been to was loud and overpriced. I was there once. The food was ok, but the wall I think were all tile and the noise echoed. Plus it was expensive for being a poor atmosphere. Just one man’s opinion.
