I smell one hell of an oxymoron in the US Institute of Peace run by the CIA. It’s as if Colonel Flagg from MASH was running the CIA. The mention of peace and the CIA should never be allowed in the same sentence. How is subverting foreign govts. and sometimes our domestic govt. equivalent to peace. Because I have a fairly high IQ the Navy wanted me to do intelligence work. I turned them down because I actually have a conscience and didn’t want to be a spook. I’ve met a few spooks in my lifetime and for the most part they scare the hell out of me.
Did the CIA’s involvement in deposing and assassinating the S. Vietnamese president in the early 60’s lead to any kind of peace in Vietnam. Absolutely hell no, if anything it made it far worse and a far bigger clusterfuck than it should’ve been. Their motto should be “Clusterfucks are us.”
More like raising a fist for chaos. Covert or overt it’s all the same Marxist tactics. The CIA’s wheelhouse.
