…as far as the smell they leave behind, in a meth house the tang of ammonia permeates everything, leaving it to smell like the urine of a thousand cats over a thousand years, with it getting refreshed daily by a thousand more.
It seeps into the very wallboard with its powerful stench, and leaked chemicals penetrate the carpet and wick into the sublfloor. You will most likey need to tear the room down to its studs to reduce that miasma, and even at THAT there are no guarentees.
…also, a lot of those chemicals turn your construction detritus classification into a hazordous waste one.
Have fun renovating your Superfund site…
One would think a proper contract with government for housing drug vagrants and bums would include complete ‘return to prior condition’ as a requirement on completion of the term of service. A moments consideration would lead to that conclusion, look at the people being served.
…but, given the sort of folk likely to be insane enough to WANT to vacay in Seattle, they may in fact ENJOY the funk of a drug den, so maybe turn it into a selling point instead…

Everyone in Washington knows better than to trust any metropolitan city or county government. Contracts are absolutely worthless with the bastards. The State courts are the tip of the corruption spear.
