Alaska jogger dragged 100 yards by bear in terrifying predawn attack near driveway

FOX-

A woman in Alaska was mauled by a bear this week near her driveway after she left her home for an early morning jog, state officials confirmed to Fox News Digital.

Ariean Fabrizio Colton, 36, a mother of three, sustained “severe injuries” during the attack and will require “extensive surgeries and a long hospital stay,” her family said on a fundraising page.

“She made it probably 50 yards from her house,” Alaska Wildlife Tpr. David Lorring told KTUU-TV. “The bear came out of another property, it looks like it attacked her … and dragged her approximately 100 yards down the road onto this guy’s property.” more

  1. “BEARS ARE NEEDING TO ADD LOTS OF FAT OVER THE NEXT FEW MOS”

We saw a Cinnamon Black Bear that easily went 500 pounds up at Tahoe last week. Eventually my sister in law got video of it from about 5 feet away, hiding behind the safety of a wooden screen door.

  2. Another data point indicating that jogging is the most dangerous activity to participate in….

But seriously, 5 a.m., bear country, you’re smaller and moving like a wounded deer….

Hope she lives to be a good mother to her children.

  3. What is it with these women who jog alone in bear/lion/wolf country? They want GoFundMe money for medical bills, now, when a treadmill was the better choice from the beginning.
