JTN: Florida’s top law enforcement official has issued a subpoena to Lorex Corp., a top maker of baby monitors, security and doorbell cameras, demanding documents and information about its corporate structure, whether it has any ties to Chinese Communist firms and whether Americans’ data or privacy can be breached. Those documents could provide evidence of illegal activity.
Attorney General James Uthmeier’s office told Just the News he believes Lorex, though North American-based, has imported large swaths of equipment from a Chinese manufacturer banned from the United States over alleged human rights abuses and national security risks.
A spokesperson for Lorex did not immediately respond to a written request for comment sent via email to its corporate public relations account. more
Are Your security cameras spying for China?
I wouldn’t doubt my washing machine is spying for the bastards, along with the bidet.
Ask Alexa or Siri, they probably know.
Probably not because I don’ have any. My security consists of an overly protective Lab and squeaky doors. The wife asked me to oil them a couple weeks ago and I told her oh hell no.
I’m getting pretty damn suspicious of my toaster. I don’t trust anything that plugs in or receives or sends information. My latest roll of Reynolds Wrap said there’s a free hat in every box. I still can’t find it.
Any ideas on how to turn these cameras into double agents and feed disinformation to the CCP?
If you can access your electronics remotely, so can someone else. Nothing is secure on the web.
This is why I always do the slant eye face to my security camera.
i have 14 cameras all out side of my house. They hook wirelessly to 3 controllers none of which are linked to the internet. If someone wants to spy on an old farts 14 cameras that watch sidewalks, driveway and 3 doors 24/7. Have fun. I don’t access them remotely on my phone and if someone wants to bother watching, have at it, I’m armed to the teeth and keep a loaded 44 pistol and a 8mm rifle beside my bed. Come on in, I sleep lite.

As long as that wi-fi doesn’t connect to the internet…
Yesterday I found a minicam and antenna in the snatch of my blowup doll, Fang Fang.
Two-timing Chinese b*tch.
