WND-
For decades, the number of people sitting in church pews on Sundays, and other days, has been declining. Especially among churches belonging to some of the legacy denominations across the country
But that’s suddenly, and significantly, reversed course.
And it is the younger adults in America, Gen Z and Millennials, who are leading the way. more
Less SODOMY more DEUTERONOMY!
And these wonderful young, fresh minds need discipling! They need to be in a church that has the leadership skills and resources to nurture them into strong Christians. And that is up to you and me!
They are seeking the community and identity that the modern woke church took away from our children – who have been taught to ignore sex and gender issues along with tolerating and embracing mental illness. people want structure and truth.
My granddaughter surprised me by enrolling at Grand Canyon University. Seems to be a fine Christian school. She just started her first semester last week.
Crazy single lib whote womwn need God desperately. But, they’re too far gone.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
We need another Jesus revolution like had in the early to mid 70’s that both wife and I as well as most of my friends who I’ve known for 50 years now. I pray for a new Great Awakening all the time for the younger generations coming in behind us.
Even though our (adult) child started out in a Christian pre-school and we have been open about our faith and have attended church (not so much in the past few years because of “woke” there), she has not yet given her life to Christ. I pray for her and her boyfriend every day.
When I asked her recently if she would like me to tell her about the Gospel (again), she said she is willing. Just yesterday she called to tell me that she is interviewing for a new position with a new company, and would I pray for her. After our conversation, I said, “Okay, let’s pray for you.” After our prayer, she said, “Thanks, mom, for your prayers.”
It’s not the first time me and others have prayed for specific things for her in her presence. I’m grateful that God is making his way into her heart and mind.
Left Coast Dan — Spot on. And if you’re not up on scripture, get to work! Helping young people understand the main things will mean we’ll get a lot of questions.
For a while, now, I’ve injected Bible teaching into general conversation by starting with, “Well, the Bible tells us….”
I just had an opportunity to use this with a young man who is struggling with the prospect of having to have his family’s elderly, cancer-ridden dog euthanized. He grew up with the animal and she is generally happy and pain-free, but he knows the time is coming and doesn’t want it to suffer needlessly, but expressed a lot of anxiety about letting her go. I guided him to a passage of scripture.

Hey. AbigailAdams, wonderful witnessing and living by example for your daughter. Authentic, faith-based Christians need to do more of it, especially now, as the Holy Spirit leads them.
Current generations are seeking the Truth. Christ unfiltered by woke, lukewarm reprobate church doctrine, even if they are tethered to some heathenistic (worldly) concepts. Still, there is hope.
Curious, which scriptures did you give that young man? This could be a spiritual learning curve for me.
Unfortunately, I bet most of them are going to Seeker Sensitive or Emergent, if not outright crazy charismatic/prosperity gospel churches.
Too many of these new “churches” are church-tainment. Focus is more on entertainment value and celebrity speakers than on God’s Word.
If the Pastor does not start off with, “please open your Bibles to ….”, then you are not in a church that puts God’s Word first.
That’s encouraging… but… here’s a deeper dive from the Pew Research Center: https://www.pewresearch.org/collections/religious-landscape-study/
The Pew study holds some particularly bad news for the Catholic Church which is looking at a big net loss: for every 100 people who join the Catholic Church, 840 leave.
Some other ominous details, for the Catholic Church as well as for the religious future of the country, from Crisis magazine: Only 19% of Americans self-identify as Catholic, down from 24% in 2007. This is a 20% decrease. By comparison, Protestants decreased by 21%, while religious “nones” increased by 81% and Muslims increased by an astounding 200% (although they still make up a small percentage of the overall population—only 1.2%).
So, while it’s good when young people come to Jesus, it looks like that increase is occurring, as noted in some comments above, in the happy clappy mega churches, where the Gospel message may vary by local celebrity pastor.

לא משנה כמה בדקים נמצאים בספסלים, אבל כמה תורה נמצאת על ליבם.
It does not matter how many butts are in the pews, but how much Torah is on their hearts.
You can say that you Trust Messiah Yahshua all day long, but until your works are the works of Righteousness (Torah = Definition of Righteousness), you are only half way there. Your man made religion indiscriminately excises The Truth en masse, and Judah heaps on man made doctrine on top of what IS perfect, as to crush YAH’s people under the unnecessary Talmudic additions en masse.
Xianity is perfectly shadowed as the Northern Kingdom of Israel (Ephraim) in I Kings 12 (especially 12:19-33) and ALL of Hosea (and so much more).
Just as Messiah Yahshua emptied Himself to allow YAH’s Spirit to fill Him, so we must empty ourselves to Let His (YAH’s) Spirit in to push us to walk out the Torah (Perfection), battling against the desires of the world and focusing on the Way of Truth in Life.
