    The rifle is apparently an old Mauser bolt action .30-06. A 180gr load is going to be around 2700 ft/sec & 2900 ft/lbs, and will easily hold on to most of that at 200 yards. The impact of that kind of force likely knocked him unconscious simply from the mechanical shock. He didn’t suffer.

    That’s going to be a hard to trace rifle. Every Gen X’s grandfather had one in the rafters. Starting to worry we’re after a pro.

    Also, I haven’t seen anyone commenting on the fact that Charlie was shot in the neck. Was this on purpose to relate it to the Ukraine woman stabbed in the neck on the other side?

    It all feels like a major psyops event, especially with the convenient rifle ditched in the woods with bullets with trans markings.

  32. MJA, so many targets, so little time. They can’t all be knocked down at once, and in the same way, like ducks in a shooting gallery. Some have more protection than others, and some ate bigger threats than others. And some can more easily be dismissed than others.

    The way I found out that Charlie Kirk had been shot was a text from my 21 year-old son. He sent a whole family text. And it was my 24 year old daughter who texted that Kirk was dead. Her twin brother texted updates and we talked about this for an hour.

    I had no idea they even knew who he was, but apparently, he was a big deal in their life. And this is why Kirk was such a mortal threat to the left: He had the hearts and minds of a big chunk of Gen Z, and this just was unacceptable to the leftist control freaks.

    Another thing I’ve noticed about Gen is that—and you can take this as you wish—they have no special allegiance or feeling toward Israel or Zionists, and they will question Israel without the hesitation of older generations if they Israel is going too far. This is not to say that they have any great love for Palestinians or muslims in general, only that to Gen Z, Israel is no more special or chosen than any other nation.

    I know that’s hard for Evangelicals or Christian Zionists to take, and maybe some of that is the fault of many of us parents for raising our children agnostically and sending them to public schools, but it’s a fact.

  34. All we know about the rifle they have is that it a bolt action 30-06.

    It could be a military surplus Mauser. It could be a highly accurate match or sniper rifle built on one of the better 98 actions, like a VZ24 or it could be an Oberndorf sporting rifle or a hunting rifle built using that commercial action or it could be a big game rifle built on a surplus 98 action. It’s even possible that it could an Interarms Mauser, could be a BRNO 550 or an FN Sporter or match rifle and still be a true Mauser. Who knows?

    It could also be an earlier model than a 98. If it is actually a 30-06 then although it could be a Mauser, but not a 98. That’s not nearly as likely though.

  46. Yesterday (obviously) and today are those days that feel like I’m off my moorings and so easily distracted by any bit of news that will help make sense of this senseless act. It’s hard not to get sucked into all the speculation, but that’s how the human brain is wired — to finish the sentence, and to piece together whisps of data, no matter how nebulous.

    Part of me is with Loco’s take; this is just an anti-Kirk wannabe hero who is a lone actor on his Inglorious Basterds mission. Then another part argues for a highly-orchestrated hit involving notorious higher-ups and MKUltra patsies. We all know that anyone can make something look exactly like anything they want. We have no reason at all to believe law enforcement, the feds, particularly, will play it square with us. When have they for crimes like this? I think the CIA, FBI, and NSA are still referring to the JFK assassination as an “ongoing investigation.” And we know nothing of substance about Butler. So, nothing is in favor of their “narrative(s)”.

    I am simply praying God expose the shooter(s), the planners, and everything else, for the sake of Mrs. Charlie J. Kirk and their children. It would be cruel for them to live their lives never knowing the truth of what happened yesterday.

Now the Utah authorities working the case have postponed their scheduled presser due to “rapid developments”, and Patel and Bongino are on their way to Utah. I don’t think FBI fed HQ would be travelling there for a photo op.

    Two guys at our club are on that list of world record holders. Mark Walker and Steve Kostanich. Most decent scoped 30-06 sporting rifles will shoot well under 2” at 100 yards from a rest or off a bipod.
