  1. I just found out this morning that my oldest daughter in Padukah, Kentucky is pregnant with her 4th child, unfortunately she lost # 3 due to a miscarriage nearly 2 years ago. Please pray that everything goes well for her and her unborn child who is due around May 17th of next year. This new child will be my 6th grandchild and will have 2 older sisters. I am very excited for my daughter, pray also for my daughter since she turns 40 in January and that everything will go well with her pregnancy. Children are indeed miracles everyone last one of them.

  2. I like to use electricity as a metaphor for the Power of the Lord.

Electricity is all around us, always doing things for us, and even between the clouds over us and the ground under us. But no one has ever SEEN electricity, just what electricity DOES and what electricity EFFECTS.

You need electricity to live. If you had no electricity within you, you would die. But too much electricity will kill us, just as seeing the fact of God would in our present state. If the electricity within you becomes disorganized you will die, but it can be put right at any time before you do; but once you are gone, no power on Earth can correct it again.

We take electricity for granted all the time no matter how much it does for us. But we certainly miss electricity if it is withdrawn.

Electricity can be awesome and electricity can be terrible. Electricity can save a life, or end it, but its what you do with the electricity that makes that determination; it is not the fault of the electricity if someone is injured while using it in a way it cannot be used.

Electricity can warm and electricity can burn. Again, its what we do with it that makes the difference..

Not a perfect metaphor, but none really are.

Nothing and no one is great enough to describe God.

…I pray the Lord grants your daughter an uneventful pregnancy, a normal delivery, and a healthy and happy child. There are some increased risks with change-of-life babies that I am sure you have discussed with your doctor, my own niece was blessed at 40, but mother and child are fine. Just keep an eye on both and let God do the rest.

Dear Lord, we come before You today to ask your blessing on this mother and child, that all goes well, and that your servant Geoff will have a wonderful praise report for us when this new life enters this world. May You hear the prayers of her family and fully form this child in the womb, guard her entrance into this world, and guide her steps her whole life that she may be blessed and be a blessing all her days, even as her proud grandfather is a blessing to us. We are not worthy to ask of ourselves but by the blood of Your Son Jesus, and it is in His merciful and loving name we pray, Amen.

    God Bless,
