Thomas Jacob Sanford rammed his Chevy Silverado truck into the building before opening fire on worshipers at a Sunday service of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township, Michigan.

On a fence by his garage he had a Stop sign with a Trump/Pence sign directly underneath.

…this event points out some things about scene size-up and murderous Democrat psychology.
First, evil and stupid often overlap, but never assume evil is stupid or it will kill you. Democrat terrorists are very well aware that our side has compassionate human beings that want to help their fellow man whenever possible, and use that to maximize casualties. Im fairly confident this guy was fully expecting people to rush to help the “car crash victim”, and so increase his kill streak. The only thing that screwed him up was the rapid arrival of the game warden.
Which goes to scene size-up. This is the thing that makes the mOdErN yen to calibrate responses to what the 911 operator is told so dangerous. The person calling may not himself know what is actually going on, be lying for assorted reasons, or himself have nefarious intentions.
Now take that back a step FURTHER, to Good Sam first responders. This is a church full of people who are NOT trained to expect the worst, and indeed try to be optomistic about their fellow man as part of what they are going to church for in the first place. Suddenly, a car hits the building. Is your first thought to help the victim of an unfortunate accident, or that the guys gonna pop a cap in yo nary ass?
…this goes to TRAINED people too. Just ask a cop about a “routine” traffic stop or an EMS about an “Unknown Down” call. My own department had one where a nutter set his own house on fire and called 911 before settling down at a window on the other end with a rifle. It was a VFD so first-in was a Lietenant in a command car, and so Goofystick started popping at him. Happily his aim was bad and the fire was faster than he expected so he had to jump into the arms of LEO sans rifles, but a more determined, more patient, and better-trained terrorist could have EASILY wiped out the whole department and a couple of cops in the bargain, along with whatever looky-lous were so ill-advised to take a gawk.
And THAT was ~3 decades ago. Things have got quite a bit WORSE since then.
The point is, ALWAYS size up ANY situation before rushing in, and ALWAYS remember things may be more than they SEEM.
You are not going to help anyone by getting yourself killed.

While I am willing to accept that the killer was simply a deranged hater, the timing and staging of the horrific act gets my conspiracy theorist’s hackles up. I agree with GITMO.

I watched a YouTube video last night of an interview with a local city council candidate who canvassed the killer at his home a couple of weeks back ( https://youtu.be/yj_j-9urdrs?si=LTDCuS0AfbC-R8bK ). The conversation was so bizarre and hate-filled that he felt compelled to communicate his experience to a Mormon friend in Utah. I am sure this guy was on the radar of local law enforcement, but few want to believe that the local loony will actually do the deed.
This tragedy is causing me to reevaluate my approach toward a formerly active member of my local congregation, a somewhat paranoid but affable sovereign citizen, who cracked during the lockdowns, a result of the Church’s official communication regarding the Xi-virus vaccines, and now accuses Church leaders of various forms of blood libel. I don’t think that is a path he has trod alone. He may be frequenting the same internet echo chambers yesterday’s killer did, attracting the attention of the same or similar handlers. It’s just another form of catfishing.
Not news until his voting record, (i.e. the primaries in which he participated,) is revealed.
If you want to “stop Trump” shooting up a Mormon church isn’t going to get you there. Crazy.
This wasn’t the only mass shooting by a deranged vet yesterday. What are the odds. Something really smells here. It took authorities almost 6 hours to release his name. I posted at the time, they know his age, they have his truck, they know where he lives, but they’re not releasing his name. They were scrubbing his online crap. There was a picture from his FB page that popped up on X of him dressed up like a Muzzie with a free Palestine message attached to it. That image quickly got wiped. I dunno. The Libtards on X are ecstatic. “He was one of yours”. I’m just not buying this shit.
