Recently, a shocking piece of pseudoscience was published in Oxford Academic’s “Bioscience” under the guise of a serious study.
“Too Cute to be Wild: What Teddy Bears Reveal about Our Disconnection from Nature” argues that the staple of children’s toys, teddy bears, may also distort their understanding of real wildlife because the toys often bear little resemblance to actual animals. Dr. Nicolas Mouquet and colleagues analyzed over 400 teddy bears and found their forms and colors diverge sharply from real bears, and from their “biodiversity”-oriented perspective determined that stuffed animals lead children to hold unrealistic mental models of animals.

This “expert” analysis of children’s toys is actually a good thing. It means the Left and their academics are circling the bowl. They’ve combed through every other conceivable artifact, tradition, gesture, western societal norm, and they’re finally and quickly running out of targets for their neo-marxist revisioned makeovers. Now, they are down to teddy bears and, to even the most casual observer, they are ridiculous lunatics.
There are only a few items on the list they haven’t yet targeted:

Bought the wife a new GL-350 a couple weeks ago. I come home one day and the things parked in the garage with the emergency flashers going off. She hit some with her purse on the way out and couldn’t figure out how to turn them off. Two days later I come home and the lights are on. Same thing. And that cabins not as confusing as some other brands. I don’t need a damn lap top glued to the dash. Some of this has gone so far that it’s getting dangerous.
