9 Comments on Florida Girl arrested after writing ‘kill list’ at her desk at school

  1. “…public shaming goes against what research shows….”

If this research is so damn good, why are juvenile crime problems skyrocketing and getting more and more serious?

  2. That’s my county (again). Riverview is an old elementary school that was long ago turned into a place for “troubled” (usually called “special ed”) students. The worst of the worst who can’t function in other schools or programs get sent there. The worst of those worst get perp-walked and can probably be counted on to be regular customers of the criminal justice system…

  3. I suppose that now I would get into serious trouble doodling pictures of airplanes, tanks and other war pictures (during the era of watching Combat on TV in the early 60’s) when I was in grade school back in the early 60’s. Later on, in Junior HS in the mid 60’s I was doodling pictures during class time of fast cars, rat finks etc. that probably would’ve also got me into trouble. Fortunately, I never got caught, doodling was one way to ease being bored with school since I hated school in Junior and Senior HS because I was a nerd and smarter and well read, than most of the rest of the kids in my class.
