Democrats have been buying votes with your money for decades. The government handouts are designed both to induce people to vote for them by promising freebies, and create a dependence on government handouts to keep them voting Democrat. Citizens give them power and lose some of their freedom in exchange for Democrats using taxpayer money to give them free stuff.
The problem for Democrats is that they are running low on citizens dependent on government largesse, so they need to import massive amounts of new government dependent people. As a bonus, many of these illegals aren’t used to freedom in the first place, so foregoing freedom and giving power to Democrats for free stuff doesn’t really bother them.
