In New Mexico, one news station tried to run a piece that would make SNAP recipients look sympathetic. They interviewed a woman who has been on SNAP benefits for more than thirty years.
Is this supposed to make the public feel bad? How many more people out there have been on SNAP benefits for this long? Is this what was intended when the program was created? A lifetime of free food on the taxpayers’ dime? more

I’m sure most people realize why you shouldn’t feed wild animals, just in case you’re not sure: it makes them vulnerable and dependent.

I just signed up for my “Medicare Advantage” plan. An annual enrollment. SNAP should also be an annual sign up, with Hard Questions before re-enrollment is approved.

It’s a stereotype, but I’ve gotten stuck behind them at the grocery store checkout.
