Lefty luminary Van Jones was among those raising alarm at Democratic socialist mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s rage-filled victory speech, noting his instant “character switch” at winning power.

A roaring Mamdani wasted no time in claiming a mandate for his potentially budget-busting progressive agenda and taunting President Trump as he rallied his fired-up supporters soon after winning Tuesday night.

Jones was quick to note live on CNN that the 34-year-old’s triumphant demeanor was a far cry from the cool, calm and collected candidate seen on the campaign trail.

“I think he missed an opportunity. I think the Mamdani that we saw in the campaign trail, who was a lot more calm, who was a lot warmer, who was a lot more embracing, was not present in that speech,” Jones told a post-election CNN panel. more

    In Latin America, the Left practice what is called dictocracia. All they need for a “mandate” is a win, no matter how slim and regardless if cheating was involved…better if cheating is involved. After that, they use rent-a-mobs (Obama’s Occupy Wall Street, BLM, Pro-Palestine, or whatever) to enforce their “mandate”, and if there is another election, the results are predetermined. That is what Democracy looks like to the Left, and most Democrats.

    (To a Democrat, the only free and fair election is the one they win, therefore, anything that can assure they win is free and fair. Anything that might cause them to lose is, logically, not free and fair. That explains the frustrating absence of guilt in Democrat poll workers. To them, they have been doing righteous work, giving the people the election results they need, if not what they want…because voters do not really represent what the people want, and most people don’t vote, but if they did, they would vote Democrat, so the Democrats vote for them. Jones is a communist -self professed in the day- and he only regrets Mamdani is speaking roughly, giving away some of his actual thinking. Jones probably also regrets he is not a part of Mamdani’s ruling cadre that soon will drink deeply of the gravy that will flow over that group from the pockets of the dumber than dirt products of government schools and social media brain rot voters of the City of New York.

  25. The “Bait and Switch” scheme always works on Demwits, especially if it means the bait involves lots of violence against the right, virtue signaling white guilt, being surrounded by “diverse” brown/black turd-world immigrants and free stuff that has to be paid for by taxpayers.
    Reality will set in with the switch, when the fools who voted for Madmandani get nothing he promised.
    Demwits are never aware they are self destructive and want everyome to crash and burn with them.
