Daily Caller:
A 100-year-old World War II veteran mourned the state of Great Britain on Friday and stated that his sacrifice was “not worth the result.”
Alec Penstone said on “Good Morning Britain” that the freedoms that the British soldiers fought and died for during the war are not present in the country today. His remarks came as the country celebrates Remembrance Day, which is observed to honor all those who died in conflict. more
Rest assured that if they had known what he would say he wouldn’t have been there.
It’s not like the numbers weren’t laid out for him. <When he was young…> But he wanted all the babes to know he was an hero! Fighting to keep The World safe for Stalin.
Some people just need mafs to kick their heads more often, than others.
I sympathize (greatly) with this gentleman and feel the same way about my country.
There is an old saying ,”A man does what he can”. Similarly, a soldier does his duty, doing what he can. He does so not because he likes his superiors or feels the orders are just or moral, but because his honor demands it, and doing anything less would make him less of a man, in his eyes.
He can be ashamed, even embarrassed for the sorry state his country evolved into, but when he dies, he should have a smile on his face and be comforted in the satisfaction that he did his duty and that he is not at all complicit in the nation’s slow death.
Seems to me a whole generations of Americans went over there to save there worthless asses. My dad flew a lot of missions out of England to drop payloads on the Germans. None of it was worth it.
What the world has become since 1945 is not that man’s fault. He should be proud of his WWII record.

In high school I set off the mother of all shitstorms when I said that given the Europeans’ and British affinity for tyranny as judged by their willingness to set up the United Nations that saving a majority of them from Hitler wasn’t worth one American farm boy’s life.
When confronted I doubled down and said that Europe and Britain are atheistic shitholes and I’m indifferent to the suffering of people who throw in their lot with Satan. They made their bed, they can lie in it.
My thinking has evolved, Europe and Britain are not atheistic, they are and have been straight up Satanists since WWII.

Absolutely true.
Both can be true.
He can be proud of how he exhibited his honor AND be disillusioned what the country did with his gift and other’s collective sacrifice.
The NSDAP would not have imported millions of Turd Worlders or tolerated trannies, had they made it across the channel.
The Bought & Paid For, Knee-Pad Media and the Left never mentions the complete and total lack of reciprocity. In other words try going to any of these Third World countries and see what happens. THEY WON’T HAVE IT! Why is the West the only ones that have to take refugees? Because we’re being targeted! This is WWIII: The War On The West.
We ALL know the Cycle:
Hard Men make Good Times. (The 100 year old Vet)
Good Times make Soft Men. (Look around)
Soft Men Make Hart Times. (Look Forward…)
My brother William was at Pearl Harbor, and I will speak for him, these fools will have to claw their way back to what was America at one time. I hope it hurts like hell, on all of them.
Has the old vet been arrested yet?
Grey Feather – I agree. We’re looking at a loooong road uphill to claw back what was once the great melting pot that people assimilated to to be a part of. I’m on the back nine of life and probably will not be around to see it get better because we’re looking at something that takes decades (if not a century) … and we haven’t even started yet.
America is a mere shadow of the country I fought and was willing to die for.
I certainly did not serve so Duck Schumer and his ilk could hold it hostage today.
As Homer Pyle used to say “fer shame fer shame.”
My Dad would share in this man’s agony. Dad took shrapnel in the Battle of the Bulge.
“It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till. What weather they shall have is not ours to rule.”
-J.R.R. Tolkien, “The Return of the King”
‘”I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”‘
-J. R. R. Tolkien, “The Fellowship Of The Ring”
“This is WWIII: The War On The West.” -Harry
You are wise beyond your years. Wait! You’re almost as old as I am!
Wouldn’t surprise me a bit if Starmer et.al locked this guy up…for telling the truth.
