Newsmax: President Donald Trump’s call for an investigation into possible price-fixing in the meatpacking industry could finally bring long-awaited answers for U.S. cattle producers struggling with high prices and limited supply, former National Cattlemen’s Beef Association President Marty Smith said Sunday on Newsmax.
“President Trump has been a great supporter of the United States cattle industry,” Smith told Newsmax’s “Wake Up America Weekend.” “But we are seeing some record high beef prices, largely due to supply and demand. Our beef supply is down, and demand has stayed extremely strong.”

Bull shit. This is the end result of four years of the Biden regime encouraging ranchers not to grow beef. 6 years ago Tri Tip was $9.79 a pound. Now it’s over $20.00 a pound. Freaken ground beef is at $10.00 a pound plus. American cattle ranchers better get there shit together. This is why Trump purchased a bunch of beef from Brazil.

Also, there is an account on X (couldn’t find the post as it was weeks ago) that explained how the big 4 packers have manipulated the pricing. Ranchers used to get 70% of the cost of beef when they were allowed to use local meat packers (but now they can’t if they want to sell across state lines), but now it’s down to about 30% (the numbers might not be accurate because I’m trying to remember, but it’s close enough to see why the USA Ranchers are failing and giving up).
Nearly all pork producing plants are owned by the Chinese and they employ mostly muzzies. Not as many beef plants but the same situation. Government controls stock yard prices so tell me what am I missing about the high cost of meat.

Thanks for the info. I’ve been told most those big family run cattle ranches vote Democrat because Democrats keep giving them large subsidies to not raise cattle. The entire industry is a mess.
