10 Comments on I Always Feel Like My Car is Watching Me

  1. Us old school farts who grew up in the 50’s and 60’s and came of age in the 70’s do not trust all the smart technology in newer cars. The newer cars granted are a lot safer than older cars but the tradeoff in technology in newer cars is not worth the loss of freedom to drive wherever and whenever you want without your every movement being snooped on.

  2. …the guy on the radio this morning pointed out that Pedo Joe had supposedly mandated cars starting in the 2026 model year that would watch to see if you were too drunk or sleepy to drive with facial analysis, and prevent operation if you were.

    What happened to that?

…also, emergency vehicles already do that with their drivers. Dont be surprised when they do it to you…

  3. You know those ads that tell you you can save 75-90% on your car insurance? They do it by monitoring you like a hawk.

    No thank you.

Our cars are a 2009 and a 2010. The 2009, which we bought three years ago, had OnStar but it uses a cell protocol that is no longer used. The on-board GPS is confusing as all get out. On top of that, when it first come on, ot shows us in Washington DC.

I suppose Waze tracks, but so does your phone.

Your car probably has a black box.
