Dem Lawmakers Urge Military, Intelligence Personnel to Defy Authority in Not-at-All Subtle Video

But they didn’t want to hear from personnel when Congress was trying to nudge them towards the Ukraine/Russia war, or when they brought in the trannies, or when they forced COVID shots on them, or…

RedState:
“Don’t give up the ship.” The phrase was made famous by Captain James Lawrence as he lay mortally wounded from the battle between his USS Chesapeake and British frigate HMS Shannon off the coast of Boston during the War of 1812.

Unfortunately for the captain, even though his phrase became legendary within the Navy, his ship was in fact captured by the Brits.

Now, a group of Democrat lawmakers is reviving the exhortation in a minute-and-a-half video that urges military troops and intelligence officials to defy orders from above that they deem illegal. Although Donald Trump is not mentioned by name, it’s clear that they’re referring to the folks in power, and right now, we all know who that is.

The clip was posted to social media Tuesday by Sen. Elissa Slotkin and features her, Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), and Reps. Chris Deluzio (PA-17), Chrissy Houlahan (PA-6), Maggie Goodlander (NH-2), and Jason Crow (CO-6). All are former members of either the military or the intelligence community. more

  1. There’s an underlying smidgen of truth to what these five are asking for, which actually is of course nothing less than mutiny and bordering on treason.

Someone ought to ask if they have any comment on the fact that following their reasoning, President Trump and his administration should refuse to obey the illegal orders of activist judges.

  2. Mark Kelly and the other two proved to everybody that THEY are GUILTY of SUBVERSION and TREASON.

I think THEY made a HUGE miscalculation and there WILL be consequences.

This is an unacceptable act by now demonstrated active political partisans that were also so when they were active duty military.

    There has to be punishment.

  3. Treason is as treason does. These un-American bastards need to be tarred and feathered buck naked and then run out of town on a rail like our forefathers did to traitors before the American revolution. And turned into pariahs so they have no place in decent society anymore.

  4. Well, they’ve parsed their words most carefully, so you probably can’t hang them for treason. Nice warm thought though.

Military people are given some very basic instructions on unlawful orders. The catch is, when you are prosecuted (court marshalled) you are going to have to prove it. And guess what? Like all other casinos, the house wins all ties.
