I don’t know how to articulate this very well, but one would think that after 60 years, so-called climate change or global warming/cooling would have been relegated to the garbage heap with claims of the earth being flat or the notion that the moon landing was a hoax. It is something that, today, should just be scoffed at and ignored. It only persists because they found a way to tax people and elbow us into all the so-called green energy technologies; almost none of which work or produce anything that has a smaller so-called carbon footprint than conventional technologies.
Then a volcano erupts somewhere in the world (or a fire burns down half of British Columbia or CA) and all that carbon we’ve spent our brains out trying to contain amounts to a scant, single-digit percentage of these cataclysmic events spew into the atmosphere. That, and none of the western powers has every addressed the pollution caused by unregulated China and India.
