A bad 24 hours for journalism

American Thinker: Since last night, we’ve witnessed several lessons about acceptable news reportage.

First, a new woman emerged against Judge Brett Kavanaugh, but even some journalists can’t believe what they are watching.  The new woman’s story is based on a corroborating witness who wasn’t at the party.  What?  Apparently, he heard something about the party after it happened.  Again, what?

Jedediah Bila wrote this:

New Yorker piece doesn’t even confirm that Kavanaugh was at the party, contains an admission of memory gaps by Ramirez due to intoxication, and has numerous people on the record disputing her claim.

Once again, I’m awaiting facts: evidence, corroboration, possible testimony

Caleb Hull put it this way:

Timeline:

• She didn’t know who it was for 35 years

• Kavanaugh was nominated

• She met with Dem lawyer for 6 days to “assess her memories”

• Accused Kavanaugh

• She still isn’t even sure it was him

• All the witnesses deny it

• Kavanaugh denies it

• Other outlets passed on story

It looks as if the second woman’s story has more holes than the first woman’s story.  MORE

  1. The longer Grassley has let this perverted Democrat sex circus play out the better it looks for Trump and the Republicans. Is that by design on our side when you simply look at it through a political lens? It’s as if the Republicans were forced to play this hand dealt by the demshits. If that’s the case than BRAVO!

“Psst. Grassley. We have a few days to let those demshits and the msm slit their own throats for good. And then Kavanaugh will have the rest of his life to inflict maximum conservative damage to the left. I know this is all B.S. but here we are. First off, call their bluff and get those two lying leftist sluts to testify under oath. Then…”

  2. Words have meaning.

“Corroborating” does not mean “another wholly unsubstantiated second or third hand allegation” by an interested party.

Just like “flipping” is not interchangeable with “accepting a plea bargain”.

I am not attributing to stupidity what can be assigned to Evil after the media has shown us their heart.

Similarly, Radley Balko (the Nate Silver of police reporting) published a 10,000 word indictment of systemic racism in the WaPo last week. Same tactic. Dozens of leftwing “studies” that conclude nothing but, circumstantially, provide directional implications for those willing to make leaps of faith.

Meaning, leaps between willing buyers and willing sellers.

Balko took the time to insult me for commenting that he moved inton a white neighborhood rather than any kind of defense of my criticism of his dumptruck of bullshit and calling it overwhelming.

  3. This and much worse is what may be in store for all of us if they win control over both houses and Trump doesn’t win the next election.
I have no doubt what these people are capable of.
