I’ve eaten in that Hamburger Joint, Louis’ Lunch, several time when I was in New Haven, Connecticut, back in the 1990s. Sometimes a big bun gets in the way. I prefer sourdough and red onion.
Fuck it. Too much work.
I’ll have a Haggis to go!
When I was growing up we would have hamburgers on un-toasted bread. That was really nice, actually.
Maybe that guy’s friend will win a Nobel prize, but the host sure is working for a Darwin Award. Putting his face right up to the unit when his friend is grinding it and when he is welding it; putting his nose on the fish griller right after it came out of the unit; reaching around the unit when it is cooking. What a maroon.
Nothing beats a proper burger. No flavorless fast food crap.
Doesn’t it take 120 years to make a 120 year old burger?
Sorry, not waiting that long.
I’ll stick to my Weber with oak and hickory.
A-1, Worcestershire, cheese, and ground garlic.
Yeah, I’m a Philistine.
izlamo delenda est …
I hate to bust his bubble but the first hamburger was created in Seymour, Wisconsin, 136 years ago by a guy named, ..wait for it…Hamburger Charlie.

Actually, I cooked a hamburger for Alexander the Great in 330 BC.
I’m still trying to get my head around the suggestion of such a thing as a “Burger Scholar”.
It’s sure a lot easier to hang up a shingle these days than it once was.
