Birds freak my wife out. We have cats not birds. Me I like song birds,outside, not a house bird.

Animals are interesting. She was pretty good at cutting that paper. And who would have ever thought a bird would do something like that? It’s sort of like us women wearing makeup.
Amazing. Who says birds are dumb?
What bothers me is what happened to her OWN tail?
I hope they didn’t cut it.
I’ve owned a few parakeets and they all have their own unique personalities. Years ago I had one I named Reynolds (Bird Reynolds – – get it?). He used to ride my violin bow as I played. One night I came home late from a gig and after unloading the equipment I asked Len the bass player to come in and see the amazing trick my bird could do. Reynolds was sleeping and I reached into the cage to wake him and he dropped dead. Len said, “Oh, he plays dead – – That’s cool!” R.I.P. Reynolds.
little known historical fact…that was where the idea of a ‘weave’ and ‘extensions’ came from 🙂
The bird is not doing that to increase the length of her tail, but to carry nest material to build a nest/add to an existing nest. That’s what they do when they’re going to lay eggs. Even if there isn’t a male bird housed with them… female Lovebirds lay eggs.
Lovebirds have a short tail… he didn’t trim it.
I guess if you are going to be a pilot, a working knowledge of aerodynamics is essential.

@Tony R, not if you’re a Kennedy.
(Too soon?)
