Will 2020 Be ‘Groundhog Day’ All Over Again for Joe Biden and the Magical ‘Youth Vote’?
Red State:
A truism in politics over the last 40 years is “Don’t rely on the youth vote to win elections”.
That might be more true in 2020 than ever.
Have you heard that voters 18-29 prefer Joe Biden over Pres. Trump somewhere in the 65-35% range?
And young voters claim they are “very likely” to vote in higher numbers than in the past?
But the truth is that young voters – every generation – have a poor track record on following through with those stated intentions on election day. Only the Obama campaign of 2008 turned enthusiasm in young voters into a movement of votes at the ballot box.
A problem facing the Biden campaign is not the polling which shows his solid lead among young voters, it is on the issue of whether those voters see him as a candidate they really want to support in 2020. read more
My first election was 1980.(I won, thanks Ron) Haven’t missed one since.
Conservative younger voters will vote. Libtard youngsters, not so much.
These young liberal voters can’t figure out how to vote because there’s no “Like” button. Dumbasses.
Nobody under the age of 35 should be allowed to vote for President. That’s how old the candidates have to be, so that’s how old the voters should have to be.
edit: At LEAST let’s repeal the 26th Amendment.
the ‘yoot’ vote has always been a myth
My first vote cast was for Nixon, still glad I did!
The young “Biden” voters are still wandering around the country, burning everything down. That’s their version of “voting”.
When yutes asked if he preferred “boxers” or “briefs,” he answered; “Depends”… 💩
And therein, is all the yutes (or anybody ELSE), needs to know… 😳
as reliable as being on time at work? Taking out garbage when asked?
I would have voted for Nixon on Nov. 7, 1972, but I was a little busy going through the military induction center. Voted in every election since then.
