CLAY COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) – A man running for office in Clay County is facing voter fraud charges.
In a media release, Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall says 45-year-old Terry Andrew Heflin, of Clay County, has been arrested and charged with seven counts of unlawful use of absentee ballots. The indictment against Heflin alleges he falsified applications to vote absentee for multiple people and then uses those names to vote for himself by absentee ballot. Heflin was the Democratic candidate for District 5 of the Clay County Commission. Each count is a felony and is punishable by 1 year and 1 day to 10 years in prison. Heflin turned himself into law enforcement and is being held in the Clay County jail.

70 years to think about it sounds about right. Vote fraud should be right up there with treason.
