GP: The Alaska Republican Party has declared its intention to seek a full recount and comprehensive review of the razor-thin election results for Ballot Measure 2, a proposal aimed at abolishing Alaska’s open primary system and the use of ranked-choice voting in general elections.
The measure was narrowly defeated, with the “No” vote leading by a margin of just 0.1%, or 664 votes out of over 320,000 cast, according to nearly complete election results. more
