Actor Alec Baldwin has surrendered his cellphone to New Mexico authorities a month after the search warrant for the device was issued.
On Friday, the Santa Fe District Attorney’s Office told ABC News that it had received Baldwin’s phone, which was a day after the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement saying that the device still hadn’t been turned over.
The search warrant for the phone had been approved on Dec. 16. Baldwin’s lawyer acknowledged the warrant had been received and the district attorney’s office was negotiating with him to retrieve the device, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities want to examine text messages on the phone for their investigation into the fatal on-set shooting of “Rust” in Sante Fe last year, which killed Halyna Hutchins, the film’s cinematographer, and wounded the director, Joel Souza. read more

Anyway… “…the gun Baldwin was using turned out to have a “lead projectile” inside, Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza explained: “We would consider it a live round, a bullet, live, because it did fire from the weapon and obviously caused the death of Ms. Hutchins and injured Mr. Souza.”

My prediction;
Baldwin will be charged with involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to 100 hours of community service which involves screaming at children and slapping housewives.
I doubt they will charge him with anything anytime soon. Or if they do it will take 20 years to get into the courts. By then the lawyers will have made millions.

If it were my phone, a squad of guys would have come over that day and stuck guns in my face until I gave it up, and ransacked my house and car immediately if I didn’t, and probably put my wife and elderly mother-in-law in the freezing yard in handcuffs while they did it.

No one is discussing why they want to see the cell phone. Could it be that the rumors about the person he shot getting ready to do a documentary about Hollywood pedophiles is more than a rumor?
