The good, bad, and the stupid people report.
Breitbart:
HOUSTON, Texas — As Tropical Storm Harvey marches back to the Gulf where it is expected to strengthen again, emergency planners in Houston’s neighboring Fort Bend County ordered the mandatory evacuation of about 110,000 people from areas that will be flooding by the Brazos River. The river is expected to hit a record 800-900 year flood mark at 56.1 feet — nearly two feet above the previous record set in the Memorial Day flood of 2016. The National Weather Service reports the deaths of five people in the wake of the former Category 4 hurricane.
UPDATES BELOW: All times are Central Daylight Time
UPDATE 5:30 p.m.: The death toll from the devastating Hurricane Harvey and resulting floods has likely risen to 14 as a family reports six members of the home have been washed away in flood waters. The family fears four children and two great-grandparents may have drowned. The driver escaped from the van after it washed into a flooded bayou. MORE

The good guys are here:
US Army
And then there’s a bunch of bastards here:
Somebody called them out and so they had to apologize.
From another story, we read that the Cajun Navy rescuers were getting shot at by Houston looters.
‘Cajun Navy’ Orders Stand-Down after Taking Gunfire in Houston, Says Group.
HOUSTON, Texas — Members of the Louisiana Cajun Navy were ordered to stand down from rescue efforts after members were shot at during an attempted robbery.
A message on the group’s Facebook page stated that the team members are safe after looters fired shots at them during an attempt to rob them and steal their boat.
I listened to that idiot Houston mayor Turner this morning. Is it true that he tweeted for people to not listen to the Fed’s warning about getting out of there?
“Charitable Humans” — What is that? Sounds like a front for something. And from their tweets, looks like a front for something.
That’s a lot of water right there.
Found this on their wed site, sounds like a subsidiary of the Clinton Global Initiative.

Yes, Houston mayors’ former name was Nagin.
Don’t worry about Charitable Humans. Their fate is sealed.
And that’s why I can’t stand any social media that the trolls can feast upon.
Ol’Gringo,
“Progressive” is the first red warning flag, and the rest falls off the cliff from there with their mish-mash of weasel words. No donations to them from me.
@AA, wasn’t the feds, it was the *gasp* deplorable red-state Governor.

Interesting bit about the emergency mgr being a vet of Katrina. Apparently he is maintaining the same level of service to the Houstonians.
This whole thing down here is surreal. But, we haven’t heard anything from Uncle Ted Cruz. I thought he’d be in one of these thousands of boats helping with the rescues. It is nice to see people all helping each other. But that won’t last for long.
Got 1/8″ of water.Just barely came
up to where the brick meets the slab.
Water stopped and rolled back and only
had to cut out 3′ of carpet in a few places.
25″ of rain in 4 1/2 hours here in La Marque
45 miles south of Houston. Most of my neighbors
got 1″ to 15″. Going to be a nasty mess around here
for awhile. To those ugly tweeters= A SOUTHERN MAN WILL SURVIVE !
Well, @CharitableHuman deleted their Twitter account. Also, several have forwarded the tweets to the IRS because as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, it is illegal for them to engage in partisan politics.
@AA- First in Houston its the county judge, ed emmitt, that makes the call for a evac. we tried an evac in 2005. it killed more people than the storm did. Houston is much larger than NO. you simply cannot put 6-8 millions of people on the freeways. Engineers estimate it would take three to four days to evac Houston and the adjacent suburbs. If an evac would of been called, 1000’s would have drowned at underpasses and more would have been stranded on overpasses.
@RADIOATIONMAN- stay dry my friend. got my garage but stopped just inches from getting in house. flooded in but water will go down sooner or later,
So, did sheila jackson lee evacuate last week, or did she stick around to help out?
Hahahahahahahaha!
