Alleged Dayton Shooter Suffered From Psychosis, Heard ‘Dark, Evil’ Things: Ex-Girlfriend

Epoch Times:

The man suspected of carrying out the mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio, had mental health issues, including hearing voices in his head, according to his ex-girlfriend.

Lyndsi Doll dated Connor Betts while both were in high school.

Doll said that during Betts’s senior year he regularly ingested caffeine pills and energy drinks and told her he couldn’t sleep because he was tormented by dark shadows at night.

He also told her that since he was a young child he suffered from psychosis and was concerned that he would become schizophrenic.

“He would cry to me sometimes, saying how he’s afraid of himself and afraid he was going to hurt someone one day. It’s haunting now,” Doll told The Washington Post.

Police officials said that Betts, 24, started shooting early Aug. 4 outside a bar in Dayton, killing nine people—including his sister, Megan Betts—and leaving over 24 others wounded, including Megan’s male companion. Officers shot Betts dead. read more

  1. Afraid to sleep because of the torment of dark shadows?

Nah, that doesn’t sound like demonic oppression at allllll… nope.
He was just mentally ill, no demons or satanic activity in his life, nope.

  2. Those pushing “Red Flag” laws act like these things are so urgent and time critical there simply isn’t time for due process, but by all accounts these situations unfold over YEARS.

The one bright spot is that if passed as currently described these laws will get overturned lock, stock, and barrel as soon as they get near a sane court. And if Trump and Cocaine Mitch stay on the job another five years, their chances of landing in such a court will be very good indeed.

  3. I am glad he heard the voices in his head….. This would be very disturbing had he heard them in his ass.

  4. Sounds like a pretty run-of-the-mill Demonrat candidate, to me.

Watch BS or Kamel Harris’s (for example) face when speaking – they’re trying to mollify the voices in their heads with lies – they fear the pain that will be inflicted if they should mess up and utter a fact.

    “Shifty” looking comes to mind.

  5. Where’s the outrage against his parents? Crickets. They leave them alone to “suffer in silence”. Puke.

He was repeatedly suspended in high school (I read one article that he was suspended for a YEAR) over the rape and kill lists. Yet, the only comments from a couple of victims on the list…. “this wouldn’t have happened if the had done police anything about him back then”.

WTH? Did his parents seek help? Did they confiscate his phone/computer? And when he was allowed back to school and the bizarre behavior continued, what then?

No, it’s always someone’s else’s fault, someone else’s prob when they go on a killing rampage. Society failed him.

The failure to hold parents accountable began with Columbine. That the two “high school” murderers were amassing weapons/ammo in the parents garage is just glossed over.

So society as a whole must be punished in lieu of the parents failure to be parents.

The calls for Red Flag Laws re firearms….how about Red Flag Laws for parents of these monsters?
