Amazon bans foreign sales of seeds in US amid mystery packages

FOX:

Amazon.com Inc said it has banned foreign sales of seeds in the United States after thousands of Americans received unsolicited packages of seeds in their mailboxes, mostly postmarked from China.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in July identified more than a dozen plant species ranging from morning glories to mustard in the bags of unsolicited seeds. It warned Americans not to plant the seeds.

According to plant experts, seeds from other parts of the world could be non-native varieties that harm commodity crops.

“Moving forward, we are only permitting the sale of seeds by sellers who are based in the U.S.,” Amazon said in an emailed statement on Saturday. more

  1. Gee amid flooding the country with cheap Chicom products Amazon is going to be socially responsible and stop the marketing of 2 cents worth of seeds! What a sacrifice!

  2. How do we get Amazon to also ban their tv commercial featuring an Amazon employee droning on and on about global warming being the big issue of our time and we are running out of time to fix it. Therefore he is doing all he can to make Amazon a zero carbon footprint company so he can pass on a better world to his son. Or at least be able to tell his son he did all he could to stop it.

Nothing wrong with wanting to pass on a better world to your children, but he should pick real issues. Such as starting by getting his boss to stop funding BLM and other leftist causes.
