  1. Sure.

    Why not.

Its no stupider than Nextflix’s “Cleopatra”…

“I dont care what they teach you in school, the King of England was Black, Gay, and Differently Abled”

  2. I thought it was the prequel to The Lord of the Rings? Or are you saying Amazon dropped another boat loads of $$ on another epic fail? Ha Ha. (delivered in Nelson’s mocking tone).

  3. I had never heard of My Lady Jane, so I looked it up. It is an Amazon series (season 2 was canceled) which intentionally twists the story of Lady Jane Grey and reimagines her story. It is also listed as a comedy and historical project although the history part is admittedly not based in truth.

I haven’t seen it and probably won’t. But I will give credit to film makers who try to make something different in this age of sequels, remakes and reboots. Many of these projects don’t work for various reasons, but when they do they can be very entertaining. My Lady Jane was rated highly by both critics and the audience on Rotten Tomatoes, so at least the execution of the concept was apparently well done and it did find an audience.

  4. I remember America did a show where a dementia ridden corrupt fool got 81 million votes and became President of the United States.

It was a long running horror series that is trying to run a new series.

  5. But…Hey, wait! Are you saying that the king of England is not a gay black disabled guy? Seems to fit Charles if you tilt your head and squint just a bit.

WHat’s Amazon doing intruding onto NetFlix territory?
