‘American Men Are In Crisis’ — Tucker Carlson Launches New Series

DC: Tucker Carlson debuted a new series on his Fox News program Wednesday night: “American men are in crisis.”

Carlson, a Daily Caller co-founder, will feature a new segment in the series every Wednesday in March, and the first featured Canadian professor Dr. Jordan Peterson.

Carlson opened by highlighting society’s attempts to demonize and ostracize masculinity before pointing out the serious problems prevalent among American males.

“This is a crisis. Yet our leaders pretend it’s not happening,” he stated. “Ignoring the decline of men does not help anyone. Men and women need each other. One cannot exist without the other. That is elemental biology, but it’s also the reality each one of us has lived, with our parents and siblings and friends. When men fail, all of us suffer.” more here

  1. I saw this last night. What’s happening to men is very alarming. Though there’s are many contributing factors, I think boys are often being medicated for what used to be normal boy behavior.

  2. Fifteen years ago I was pulled into a failing product development program. The main reason was they assigned it to a young woman with little experience because of “diversity”. The president of the company even stated there were too many “old, white guys” on the board of directors…
Anyway, I stepped up and resolved a bunch of critical issues and applied “band-aids” to others and the project was released on time because schedule was more important than quality. It was a technical failure because the band-aids were not enough but the executives hailed it as a market success. The woman was moved off the program just before the SHTF and I was left coated in it. Since then she has been shuffled around into various positions just long enough for her to screw it up and move on before the problems are realized.
She is now a VP….because “diversity”, not competence.
Today they are giving speeches at work and giving out purple frosted cupcakes – for “diversity”…

  3. I’m concerned about the lower testosterone levels. What is causing it? It can’t be natural, so I’m guessing it has to do with the consumption of something, intended or not. Processed foods, drugs, something in the water? I hope they try to answer that.

  4. Its destroying our military effectiveness too. Lets hope Tucker does a segment focusing on that, assuming he can find anyone willing to throw their career in the can for telling the truth.

  5. Tell me again the ratio of men to women teachers? Women have been running the education system for decades and yes, females try to change males, boys or men.
Disclaimer; my wife has taught for 30 years.

  6. Here is what the left is doing in our colleges, creating positions to deal with this, while blaming men, mainly white hetero men.

  7. I saw it. It was good and, yes, it does deserve more than 11 minutes once a week. Dr. Jordan Peterson was an awesome first contributor. Don’t let his hesitant manner of speaking put you off. He is brilliant. Reading his book “12 Rules for Life — an antidote for Chaos”. It’s one I will have to go back to again and again.

  8. A feminist credo was “a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.” But men are figuring out the corollary to that; “a bicycle rolls easier without being burdened by a fish.”

Feminists send the message that they don’t need men to have a career, children or a home. But many men aren’t really driven to acquire large wages or salaries absent having to support a wife and children. Having fuzzy toilet seat covers or guest towels isn’t a priority. Owning a set of show furniture no one can use filling a room no one is allowed in isn’t a priority. Having sex can be a priority, but breeding children isn’t. A mini-van isn’t as fun as a sports car. If women don’t need men, we all of a sudden don’t have the financial pressure to provide the big ticket items women want, we don’t have to pay for raising kids or funding college tuitions, and we can live very well on a much lesser income and still do what we want.

If this sounds selfish, it’s because it is. But feminists are eliminating the societal pressure for men to marry, start families and provide homes and quit being selfish; when I was in my late 20s it was difficult and uncomfortable to be a bachelor because few other men were and society expected us to marry. Today, males are marrying later and later in life (if at all), many divorced men are not remarrying, and this is entirely socially acceptable.

There are fundamental differences between men and women, and I don’t think feminists took these differences into account when they embarked on changing society to fit their theories. They can try to turn men into some sort of female, but that ultimately won’t work and our culture and society will suffer.

  9. @Wyatt, I saw an article not too long ago where someone was showing women on the street photos of different types of men and asking them which one they were more attracted to. Pretty much all of them chose the more masculine looking men.

I think the prog women who claim they don’t need men protest too much. They are usually too ugly or crazy to attract men at all, so that’s their story and they’re sticking to it. To make themselves feel better and “mainstream” they turn it into a destroy men herd mentality.

  10. “Crisis”? If I decide “Hey it’s Friday night. I’m gonna’ head down to the cellar and hit myself in the head with this three pound drilling hammer.” — and I do — how is that a crisis? If I survive, so next week, I decide “Hey it’s Friday night. I’m gonna’ head down to the cellar and hit myself in the head with this three pound drilling hammer, until I pass out.” — and I do — where’s the crisis? If that becomes my “Friday night, this is what Good™ people do” ritual, how can it be a crisis? And if I happen to die down there, where is the surprise? (None should dare call it a crisis.)

    > And my 6’6″ 235lb son is not feminized in the least.

In the Civilized™, Western™ world, being feminized is a participation award of honor. So, this question can not, amongst Good™ people, be denigrating, but “How does he feel, both personally, and as a member of society, about marital rape?”
