Andrew McCabe sues for pension claiming Trump was behind his firing

WaEx:

Fired former former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe filed suit in federal court Thursday, accusing President Trump of causing his subordinates at the Justice Department to participate in an “unconstitutional plan and scheme” to have him fired.

McCabe was fired the same day he planned to retire.

His firing was part of a broader plan by Trump to “discredit and remove DOJ and FBI employees who were deemed to be his partisan opponents because they were not politically loyal to him,” he said in the suit against the Justice Department, Attorney General William Barr, and FBI Director Christopher Wray.

McCabe also accused then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions, along with Wray and others, of serving as Trump’s “personal enforcers” rather than “the nation’s highest law enforcement officials” and of catering to Trump’s “unlawful whims” instead of “honoring their oaths to uphold the Constitution.” McCabe caught Trump’s attention during his time working alongside former FBI Director James Comey, whom Trump also fired.

McCabe said that his firing was unjust, and is asking the judge to compel the Justice Department to provide him with back pay, his full pension, and to expunge his record. keep reading

  1. It will be interesting to see how this works out.

he’ll both have to prove his claims in court and show that they were somehow either illegal or legally inappropriate for some reason.

Either that or find an anti-Trump judge to hear the case that will rule against Trump because he’s Trump instead of on the merits of the case (which wouldn’t be hard to do).

  2. The timing is suspicious. A lefty activist judge placed an indefinite gag order on Roger Stone. That makes me wonder if Mccabe and Strozk are trying to use the courts to suppress facts against them that appears to be coming soon.

  3. Also, the lawsuits were filed soon after the DOJ announced that they wouldn’t follow the IG’s recommendation to prosecute. Wouldn’t it be wise for the DOJ to keep everything on the table?

  4. First Strzok and now McCabe. There’s got to be a conspiracy somewhere in here at the bottom of all this horse manure. This is going to interesting watching the conspirators trying to prove there was another conspiracy to distract them from the crimes of their own conspiracy.

    News at 10.

I’m certain he’s able to discriminate as to which leftwing law firm is taking his case pro bono.

  6. Just browsing the complaint, he claims that all of the money the Clinton’s gave his Democrat wife to run for office while he’s investigating both Clinton and Trump not only does not create the appearance of impropriety but that mentioning it distresses him greatly.
