Preaching her final sermon at St. Peters, she took her church to task for their wayward ways, blasting them for being a bunch of backstabbing gossipers who were seemingly complaining about her progressive theology.

That wasn’t a sermon.
That was an acrimonious speech.
“Deaconess” — that one word tells you everything you need to know.
Just a couple of observations:
1. it’s just a horrible way to go out- crucifing one’s self. I mean, no matter how much she tried or how long she would have been at it she could never get that last nail in and instead of a “woe is me” it just turned into a narcissistic passion play for one performance.
2. when you “pray” on something fot “a couple of hours” don’t be surprised when the material is ego driven self agrandizement.
3. for a “sermon” she was dropping alot of “I” this and “I” that and zero scriptureal quotes. It’s as is The ECLA has rejected God and embraced secular philosophies.
