If they don’t know its origin or purpose, how can they know it isn’t a threat to national security?
The longer they leave it up, the more data the Chinks get. This is another pay off from uncle Joe.
No way it should have gotten that far inland. I’m guessing Colorado is about 1000 miles in.
If it is unknown, blow the effin’ thing out of the sky before it’s even over California. What is NORAD waiting for? What is going to happen if, instead of balloons, they are nuclear armed missiles entering our airspace? Wait to see if they’re friendly? Screw that.
D-damned effin’ imbeciles running everything these days. In WWII Japan sent balloons over which started some forest fires and killed one person. Can’t they learn from that? Anything that comes into our airspace that can’t be identified is a potentially destructive weapon. Blow it out of the sky and don’t wait around.
If we can’t stop a balloon there’s obviously no stopping an ICBM.

It managed to travel 800+ miles over the US before it was intercepted. And it was determined by jet pilots to not be a threat (how did they determine that). Then it was said it was not hazardous to navigation; NORAD apparently missed it on radar, but we are assured that your average airliner will pick it up on theirs? YCMTSU.
