Anti-monarchists held a protest at Buckingham Palace

IZ: Participants in the British anti-monarchist movement Republic staged a protest at Buckingham Palace on Saturday, September 23. The Telegraph newspaper reports this .

“Participants of the movement made their way into the palace shortly after noon, pretending to be tourists, and then took pictures in the Great Hall wearing T-shirts with the inscription Not My King (not my king. – Ed.),” the publication says.

Telegraph clarifies that the action lasted “a matter of seconds.” Palace security detained six protesters and escorted them out through the main gate.

The leader of the British Republic movement, Graham Smith, said that this was the first such protest against the monarchy held at Buckingham Palace. The movement’s next protest is scheduled for November 7. more
