Apple CEO to Shareholders: If You Don’t Believe in Global Warming, Sell Our Stock!

TPNN

It looks like former Obama EPA Chief Lisa Jackson (alias: Richard Windsor), who Apple gave a job to last year in spite of her scandals, and Global Warming High Priest Al Gore, an Apple board member, have gotten to Apple CEO Tim Cook. Cook is so entrenched in the faulty theory of man-made global warming that he’s even willing to see his shareholders dump his stock.

Never mind that a plurality of Americans reject the myth of the discredited belief in man-made global warming and that the co-founder of Greenpeace this week referred to the myth’s followers as being like members of a religious cult, Apple CEO Tim Cook has a message for his shareholders. Cook says if you don’t like believe in man-made global warming, you should sell his company’s stock.

The National Center for Public Policy Research, a free-market think tank, who owns shares in Apple stock along with National Center executives, released the following statement on Friday:

Cupertino, CA / Washington, D.C. – At today’s annual meeting of Apple shareholders in Cupertino, California, Apple CEO Tim Cook informed investors that are primarily concerned with making reasonable economic returns that their money is no longer welcome.

The message came in response to the National Center for Public Policy Research’s shareholder resolution asking the tech giant to be transparent about its environmental activism and a question from the National Center about the company’s environmental initiatives.

“Mr. Cook made it very clear to me that if I, or any other investor, was more concerned with return on investment than reducing carbon dioxide emissions, my investment is no longer welcome at Apple,” said Justin Danhof, Esq., director of the National Center’s Free Enterprise Project.

  1. Cook is a also a flaming rump ranger, so by default, he takes all of Leftist tripe as gospel. Even though he has no use for The Gospel itself.

I hate fucking Lefttard flaming rump rangers.

  2. Or better yet, just stop buying Apple products and watch their shares value plummet on its own.

Apple…at one time, they were a great alternative to Microsoft….now though…overpriced, over rated and over intrusive.

  3. Lol, I see a massive stock dump coming tomorrow morning. I hope Apple suffers for this idiots statement. I also wish I had some apple stock so I could dump it.
Mr.Cook man caused global climate change is BULLSHIT! Get it? Got it? Good! I’m done with Apple until Apple is done with you

  4. A CEO of a major corporation tells shareholders that they’re not welcome to own his company’s stock unless they believe in global warming. Sounds like the governor of a populous state telling people they should move elsewhere if they don’t believe in abortion on demand or gun control.

Since when did agreeing with others become a prerequisite for living MY life? I can’t live in New York State, I can’t own Apple stock……

But what I CAN do is tell these idiots to kiss my ass!

    Ah……feel much better now!

  5. If you divest Apple just because Cook told you to, you are not only hurting Apple, you are also hurting yourself. If you think Apple is a good company that will gain in value then you should invest because you will make money, whether or not Cook says something disparaging about your beliefs.

Furthermore, Cook himself WANTS you to divest. So your investment will also be a slap in the face to Cook. In fact, you should send the profits and dividends you earn from Apple directly to Americans For Prosperity or some other “Koch-funded” entity and then send a note to Cook saying, “Here’s what my profits from your company paid for.”

  6. Another thought, Rush is a huge Apple fan. I wonder if he’ll continue to give away Ipads with his signature on it? I’ll email the article to him. Let’s see how Rush reacts to this latest Apple development.

  7. I like Apple products, but if they want to remain successful, they shouldn’t involve the company in religion, politics or MMGW. Evidently they do not wish to remain successful. Mr, bottled-water-drinking, self-absorbed, celebrity-obsessed, Politically Correct Numbnuts obviously never saw or payed any attention to the 1984 Apple commercial. I suggest he pull himself up by the Birkenstocks and smell the coffee real quick or find another job! Shut up and make computers!

  8. Apple will be around a lot longer than Cook. I’m moving on from this non story.

Still, I laugh at the desperation of the AGW crowd especially since this has been such a tough winter and Michael Mann is getting the shit sued out of him.

  9. Hmmm, could it be that Cook wants the price to drop so the board can approve a massive stock buyback using just some of Apples cash reserves? The stock would certainly come back after the market decides that it was just a bullsh*t statement. Apples overall value increases allow with any shares or options Cook and the board have.
On the other hand maybe he’s signaling that Apple wants to get into wind turbines, tide generators and photovoltaic cells in a big way and we all know how well that’s turning out.
By the by, notice how the number of security patches are starting to come out now for all Apple products? I think the hacker community is starting to take notice of Apple and that won’t be good for their sales.

  10. @Sidekick, “Apple will be around a lot longer than Cook.”
    He’s an idiot.
And he’s too late for me.
Bought at $34. Sold at $520.

Their products are a completely separate issue.
Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face.

  11. Cook is stupid in this matter. The more wealth stolen and “redistributed” according to IPCC and all the watermelon NGOs desires, the poorer the global economy will be. The result may well be people who can afford mobile phones will not be looking at the admittedly very good but decidedly overpriced Apple products. If things go the way Cook appears to want them to go, Apple sales and market share will nosedive.

  12. Eh. I’m really not crazy about my iphone and ipad.
They’re limited and their customer service has been sucky.

Cook doesn’t have anything riding on his dumbass statements, and that’s why he says stupid shit. Apple isn’t his baby like it was for the originators, so if he’s fired, he’ll just take his money ball and go home. Great PR move though, Apple. lolol
    iMorons.

  13. Was Mr. Cook appointed or “anointed” by Jobs before his death? If so, he didn’t know his successor very well. One thing Rush did mention in all his Apple spiel is how Jobs was focused on returns for shareholders and not do-gooders.

I also smell a Lisa Jackson/Obama shakedown going on. The NSA has stuff on everyone.

  14. Sorry Apple. you want my stock, you’re gonna’ pay through the nose for it.

Until then, this global warming realist will use the dividends from your stock to purchase more carbon belching American made classic automobiles and motorpickles to further the destruction of sacred mother earth.

  15. As a shareholder, I want this piece of shit fired. What an asshole. He’s deliberately trying to drive the stock price down over bullshit. I can’t even imaging what the fuck is going on in his head.
