FOX: The chairman and co-founder of AriZona Beverages has doubled down on maintaining the 99-cent price point for its canned iced tea amid high inflation, FOX Business correspondent Madison Alworth reported Friday.
Don Vultaggio wants to keep the 99-cent, 23-ounce iced tea the same price because it’s “something that customers rely on,” Alworth reported. She noted one change the company has made over the years to save on costs is altering the top on its cans.
“What they’re doing seems to be working,” Alworth said. “This company barely does any advertising. It’s all just word of mouth, and they’re still here.” more
Arizona Tea Party…
The beauty of a privately owned company, not beholden to the stock market and special interest shareholder groups.
I love it. The green tea is my favorite. I like the small can 12-pack they sell at Aldi.
Keep doing what you’re doing Arizona Tea. Especially not wasting money on advertising. That’s mostly money wasted on vanity, if you ask me. A good product efficiently produced and good distribution are key.
@Thirdtwin — Wholeheartedly agree. Good stuff, reasonably priced.
It’s not .99 at Circle K.
Bastards.
I think SchoonerTuna is doing the same thing.

My widowed grandmother raised 4 children on her own during The Depression. She always used a teabag twice. She kept used kleenex in her pocketbook, I remember when I was small she would whip out some crinkled old tissue to wipe my face as I tried to squirm out of her grasp. Oh, and God help you if you left a light on in an empty room.
That’s awesome.
I’m no businessman.
I don’t see how they produce the can for a buck.
