…believe me, phenry, I struggle with this mightily too. I’ve made my views and reasons for them on pedophiles very clear here, and yet a pedophile is being raised up over us as the mouthpiece for organizations of pedophiles. I may not be able to morally keep my job if it turns into support for oppression of patriots on behalf of communists, I know they’re going to come for my guns, my son, and my life at some point, and there’s nothing I can do to stem the tide but calculate how best to take as many of them with me when they do break my door down for noncompliance, of just to make an example. I’ve watched them destroy institutions I’ve been close to at various times for various reasons such as law enforcement and medicine to name but two, and seen the collateral damage they’ve done through instilling fear in old ladies who are my sisters in Christ just because it suits their purpose, and even threatened my church when my pastor was moved to speak against political excesses even as the Obama supporting churches in the same neighborhood were left unmolested. I’ve seen one man after another who should have turned away the evil instead turn to helping it, to the point where I am so blinded by anger that it threatens to condemn me to hell with them.
Yes, I know your pain. Or I at least can identify with it in my own Weltanschauung.
Which is why I turn to the Lord.
Him I can trust, not only with the afterlife, but that His spirit can guard and guide me through life and give me the strength to deal with it and lend me His wisdom to find the path through life. He saved my life numerous times when I was out doing risky things and didn’t even know Him, He helped me save the lives of others for years and even my own son’s, He guided me away from some occupations and to others when it was best to do so, for I am sure it is no coincidence that everyplace I worked closed after I left and every opportunity I rejected turned out to have been a bad one, as like last year when I turned down an opportunity that would have involved training in Italy in March of 2020.
You can’t do it on your own, and it just hurts more the longer you try, and it applies to every aspect of present life including these trying times.
Trust in Him.

…Brad, I do have guns, but I can’t claim to me more than a very amateur enthusiast with them, and in the current ammo environment its tough to build skills.
I did spend some of my formative years in knife fighting and have quite a collection of edged weapons, some of which allow for accurate ranged attacks that I DID get some formal training fir later in life, so that may be a skill I’ll be dusting off that has the advantage of being a weapon that never needs to loaded or cocked, never jams, and I don’t have to buy anything to practice with it and use it.
And believe me, you can certainly clear a room with it.
I’m not saying this isn’t a time to fight. Ecclesiasties tells us there are such times, and even Jesus told his apostles at the Garden of Gethsemane to arm up for their own defense (Luke 22:36-38), so it isn’t incompatible to do both.
All I’m saying is that God needs to be in it to keep you cool and guide your hand as he did David’s when he faced Goliath, or it is doomed to failure.
I can make my peace with being killed in defense of liberty only if I know where I’m headed after.
And that is what I want for you, phenry, and for all of us.
