8. Yay Mommy Cat ! Many years ago I lived in an apartment building that had a backyard where the Landlord would allow us to have a garden. The yard itself was sunken in and and a high retaining wall where the feral cats liked to roam. I once caught a tomcat victimizing a kitten by keeping it from its mother. The tomcat had the kitten enclosed with his body like a cage within his legs .Mother cat kept trying to rescue the kitten but was at a standstill. My own maternal instinct kicked in so I gave the Tom a nice pressured blast from the trigger of my garden hose – right in the kisser !! He took off and Mommy and her kitten were safe from the bully!! Did my heart good.
