Attorney General to Release Mueller Report on April 18

ET: Attorney General William Barr plans to release the long-awaited final report by special counsel Robert Mueller on April 18, according to the Justice Department.

Mueller investigated allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia to interfere in the 2016 election. The special counsel concluded there is no evidence of collusion.

Department of Justice spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said the report will be released to Congress and the public on the morning of April 18. Barr previously said the report is nearly 400 pages long.

Since releasing a top-line summary of the report on March 24, Barr has been working with Mueller to black out portions to protect grand jury testimony, ongoing investigations, sources and methods, and damaging information about people who were not ultimately charged with a crime. The different categories of redactions will be color-coded in the final report, Barr told lawmakers.

Throughout the entire duration of Mueller’s investigation, Trump denounced the probe as a hoax. The president again slammed the investigation moments before the Justice Department revealed the release date for the final report.

“The Mueller Report, which was written by 18 Angry Democrats who also happen to be Trump Haters (and Clinton Supporters), should have focused on the people who SPIED on my 2016 Campaign, and others who fabricated the whole Russia Hoax,” Trump wrote.  more

  3. The Left can’t believe that Trump hasn’t been engaged in all kinds of illegal activities and expect to find evidence of it, or evidence pointing to where they can find evidence of it, in the Mueller report.

    The reason they can’t believe it is that they have committed various illegal actions to get to where they are and can’t believe anyone can get there without doing the same, that anyone is actually better than they are.

  6. Lets call it as it is. The left only wants the report released so they can get fodder of any kind to bully, like the little kids they are, the POTUS with it till he is out of office. That’s all it’s release amounts to for them, childish bullying.

    Redaction of Mueller Report Halted as Barr Passes Out from Sharpie Fumes

    WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—The redaction of the Mueller report stalled on Monday after the Attorney General, William Barr, passed out from inhaling fumes from multiple Sharpie markers.

    Barr, who had been working around the clock to redact the report before its release, reportedly lost consciousness while trying to black out a seventy-four-page section detailing Donald Trump, Jr.,’s contacts with more than three dozen Russian individuals.

    “You cannot use that many Sharpies, for hours on end, without proper ventilation,” a Justice Department staffer, speaking on condition of anonymity, said. “This was a disaster waiting to happen.”

    The insentient Barr was rushed to Walter Reed medical center, where a grim-faced hospital spokesperson described his condition as “Ben Carson–like.”

  8. I did not quite understand the reason for COLOR CODING the report with redactions, as the parts I received for publication had the following color code memo attached in:

    JAMES COMEY IS COLOR CODED IN GREEN

    ANDREW MCABE IS COLOR CODED IN BLUE

    JARED KUSHNER IS COLOR CODED IN YELLOW

    PETER STRZOK IS COLOR CODED IN BLACK

    and to protect the virginal innocence of the helpful Lisa Page, her name has been redacted in PURPLE.
