POLICE have confirmed the devastating theme park accident that killed four people at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast was caught on CCTV, as investigations into the tragedy continue.
NEWS.AU: Working throughout the night, police have been combing the CCTV footage for clues as to what led the Thunder River Rapids ride to “malfunction” and cause the horror crash at about 2:20pm Queensland time on Tuesday.
Queensland Police Inspector Tod Reid said the “complex retrieval” of the bodies will take several hours and involve heavy equipment.
Gavin Fuller of Queensland Ambulance said two of the victims were “ejected” after a “malfunction” on the ride. Theme park staff were trying to help them when paramedics arrived — but Mr Fuller said their injuries were so severe they were “incompatible with living”. MORE
SNIP: God rest their souls. They were said to have been trapped inside the conveyor belt that you see at the end of this video:

(They were not victims)
“their injuries were so severe they were “incompatible with living””
never in my life have i heard death described in this way
I hope no children were involved!
“The accident has prompted intense speculation about whether or not the ride was performing well.”
That’s a tough one there
“their injuries were so severe they were “incompatible with living”
That phrase brings to mind a room full of corporate lawyers sniffing each others butts.
I have ridden water rides at amusement parks all over the USA and have NEVER seen a conveyor that was not a solid sheet of rubber or fabric at the lift areas. What were these guys thinking who designed this one?
What a horrible thing to happen. Life is fleeting for sure.
“Incompatible with Living.” A cop with a degree in sociology. WTF is next? Compatible with death?
Do they have this at Gitmo?
“incompatible with living”
Almost sounds like Obamacare, don’t it.
Agreed Jethro,
that conveyor was poorly designed.
An actual conveyor belt should be belted rubber.
That looked like the endoskeleton of a proper conveyor.
How the occupants were ejected is what I really want to know.
I’ve been on that ride before. 😱
