  1. Unions aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.
My stepfather was both an Ironworker and Boilermaker.
He got lung cancer from all the asbestos.
He thought my mother would be set.
    Not so much.
He died on a Sept 29 and the union demanded the pension back they’d paid for Sept because he didn’t die on the 30th.
Then they cut off the health insurance and told her she could have half his pension for 10 yrs.

  2. A Union’s primary objective is to feather the nest of the union bosses. For example that jerk for the longshoremen’s union lives in a huge house on the water, drives a Bentley and has a massively expensive speedboat.

  3. SMS – Unions do not support excellence and unity.
They put up walls between management and the work force and promote division and an excuse to gripe about little things so that the union leaders can pat themselves on the back and say “See what I did for you!”

I’ve personally seen what happens when a company promotes education, incentives and a family type atmosphere with lots of communication. No Unions… and they tried many times and lost! I also saw union workers at the competition wanting to get out of that atmosphere and work in ours!

  4. The Teamsters cost me a great job with Red Star Express back in 2004. Fu*k ’em all. The President of my local (776) was a decorated Vietnam vet who publicly endorsed and told us all to vote for John Kerry years ago. Go figure.

  5. MoPar is no more. Rumor is that Walter Chrysler’s great grandson wants to secure the branding and restart the company. Reckon that will depend on whether or not DJT is reelected. Will we see Maxwell, Chalmers, and Willys again?

    “ROCHESTER!”
    “Yes, Mr. Benny?”
“Get the Maxwell out of the garage; I have to go to the A&P.”
