Without a doubt, American politicians in Washington are as corrupt as any seen in Russia, China, Iran, Venezuela, etc. In fact, I trust Chinese communist politicians more than Republicans and Democrats (redundancy alert!) in Washington. Every couple of years, China executes their corrupt officials for graft. In America, our corrupt leaders who are thrown from office become corrupt lobbyists making millions more year after year after year.
How do former Congressmen lobbyists make such huge sums of money? They push bills that enrich the corporations that pay their salary by enriching current corrupt Congressmen and buying their votes!

The amount of money to be made influencing govt actions by all involved parties is simply too enormous for the corruption to be eliminated. The only way that the money will go down is if the govt’s power goes down, and that will happen about the same time as the heat death of the universe if the efforts are restricted to those “within the system.”
Unless and until there is widespread disobedience – preferably (to me) armed civil disobedience – the situation is only going to get worse, and the longer it worsens the more difficult and violent the efforts will be simply to have the bastards leave us alone.
