AZ Supreme Court Justice Andrew Gould Announces Retirement

Conservative Brief:

Arizona Supreme Court Justice Andrew Gould will be stepping down from the bench after serving since 2017.

Gould told Republican Gov. Doug Ducey his last day will be April 1, the Associated Press reported.

He was appointed by Ducey in 2016 after the court expanded from five to seven justices.

Gould and five others are Republicans. Justice Clint Bolick is an Independent.

There are no Democrats on the state Supreme Court and it’s more than likely that Ducey will replace Gould with another conservative judge.

Some reports have suggested that Gould was likely going to run for state attorney general in 2022. more

  1. Maybe they told him that he couldn’t collect for getting biden elected until he stepped down. That’s how janet yellen did it at the federal reserve.
